Constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with red enameled arms bordered by black enamel and with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse with a central white enameled medallion bearing a gilt mobile swastika defaced by a Wolfsangel rune, in turn set within a semi circular oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a central white
