Brard-Blanchard Cognac VSOP (750ml) 1998 Dying for nuts and StiltonAged 10 years, this organic Fin Bois is much older than most VSOP, and one of the few in Cognac that includes Colombard and Folle Blanche in the blend along with Ugni Blanc. Amber in color, it has a nose full of vanilla and licorice with a tinge of smokiness. That smokiness carries throughout the palate, where it mingles with soft stone fruit. Not a flashy VSOP, but good value. (40% abv) Vinous 89 points
